RAN's Ninth Advice Forum

“Working with clients who have complex problems”

The Ninth RAN Advice Forum examined how RAN member groups, and other organisations, worked with clients/service users who have complex problems.

Presentations from a RAN member, Reading Community Welfare Rights Unit, and from the Adult Social Care team of Reading Borough Council, illustrated the complexities of working with some of their clients, the background and legislative framework and how better multi-agency working would benefit those people who presented with complex needs.

Case studies and detailed explanations of the key characteristics of clients with complex problems followed, and a discussion of the difficulties faced by all agencies, plus solutions to those difficulties, took place.

Outcomes included actions for RAN to liaise between RBC and RAN members are outlined in the report, available to download here.
