What are the benefits of RAN Membership?
All the staff and volunteers of RAN Members have access to Reading Borough Council's Employee Assistance Program. This provides:
-
- Legal and financial guidance on a wide range of issues
- Access to a mental health helpline
- Up to six online or telephone counselling sessions per individual per issue a year
Being a RAN Member allows your organization to be supported throughout the Quality Standard Accreditation Process as well as enabling you to contribute and shape our policy work.
Members contribute to the topics discussed at our regular Advice Forums, although your organization (or individuals) doesn't have to be a Member to attend Forums.
Member CEOs have a peer support group which meets three times a year and operates under Chatham House Rules - nothing said in the group can be repeated outside, except with the explicit permission of the person who said it.
We continue to develop new ways to support our Members. Please Contact us if there are particular areas of support that your organization might benefit from and you would like us to provide.
Who can apply?
Any organization providing Information and Advice to its clients, that operates in the Reading area, and that agrees to the requirements outlined below.
What are the requirements for Membership?
- Your organization commits itself to achieve Reading Voluntary Action's "Safe and Sound" Governance Mark
- Your organization commits itself to achieve the RAN Quality Standard
